We finally got our hands on the new Galaxy S24+ and grabbed it straight away for review.
Samsung only packages a USB-C cable with its Galaxy phones, but some retailers may offer Samsung's new, somewhat smaller 25W adapter. Not everyone is offering this deal, but Samsung is offering a free upgrade from 256GB to 512GB during the pre-order period, as well as trade-in bonuses and discounts on Samsung services.
The Galaxy S24+ feels like a completely new device. This was unthinkable just a few weeks ago. First of all, it is completely matte on all sides. In addition to losing its shine, the frame is now flatter. Although it is not sharp, it is well contoured and very comfortable to the touch.
We got the cobalt violet and I have to say it looks a more saturated purple in the photo than in real life. It's a very calming color. Let's call it a sophisticated color.
The feel of the phone accounts for 60% of the 'new device feel', and the remaining 40% is what's inside. The display has a higher resolution of 1440x3120px and is finally an LTPO panel.
Another upgrade is the battery. It's now 200mAh larger at 4,900mAh, making it almost the same as the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Galaxy S24 shares the look of the Galaxy S24+ but has a lower resolution. It's still an LTPO panel. That's all for now. But we'll bring you more Galaxy S24 content next week!
